We are looking for a talented interior designer to join our team. At Nina Elman Interiors, we believe in transforming spaces into bespoke environments that reflect our clients' personalities and lifestyles. We specialize in new construction, additions, and full scale renovations of existing spaces. The team at Nina Elman Interiors not only designs spaces, but they also manage the project from beginning to end to be sure the outcome is top quality. Nina's priority is finding a design solution that is both visually appealing and tailored to her clients’ individual tastes. All Nina Elman Interiors spaces are cohesive, beautiful, and unique. The Interior Designer will play a pivotal role in this transformation, overseeing the development of comprehensive projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead design projects from conception to completion, including conceptualization, space planning, material selection, and presentation of design concepts to clients.

2. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and vision for the

space, and translate that into innovative and functional design solutions.

3. Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for application and installation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent.

4. Research and source materials, furnishings, and accessories that align with the design concept, budget, and project requirements.

5. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing, samples, and product information, and manage the procurement process.

6. Oversee project execution, including site visits, installations, and quality control, to ensure that design concepts are implemented accurately and according to specifications.

7. Manage and provide guidance to junior designers and support staff, fostering their growth and development within the firm.

8. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and enhance design capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in interior design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into compelling design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts effectively to clients and team members.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and full 360 of a project.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative attitude towards teamwork.

Criteria for Success:

1. Client Satisfaction: Positive feedback from clients on the design process, communication, and the final outcome of the project.

2. Eye for Design: Fully understanding the vision of the client to produce a beautiful, creative, functional design within their budget.

3. Project Completion: Timely completion of projects while meeting all deadlines, according to the agreed-upon design specifications.

4. Understanding the full 360 of a project: Esthetics Functionality (installation and application of project)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
