Nippon Curry Berkeley - URGENTLY seeking Manager/Front Staff FT or PT
Nippon Curry serves an authentic, award-winning Japanese curry, and we are looking for solid, reliable staff for our NEW shop soon to be open in Berkeley.
We are looking for front-of-house staff who can work FT or PT. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a convenient location directly across from the UC Berkeley Sather gate.
The Manager will create positive dining experiences for our customers, continuously improving our quality of service, and will help the team reach its full potential. The Manager will be a cheerful, positive-minded individual who understands true "omotenashi" and will be responsible for driving sales, managing promotions, managing inventory, ordering from vendors, hiring/training staff, scheduling shifts, managing 3rd party delivery platforms, following company policy, cleaning, and communicating with the kitchen and management.
Front of House staff will be responsible for taking orders using a POS system, serving customers, keeping the restaurant clean and tidy, restocking items, and ensuring that our customers have an excellent dining experience.

Manager and FOH Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive sales revenue.
- Passion for serving customers.
- Ensuring staff delivers high-level customer service and "omotenashi".
- Training on POS, procedures, and rules for service.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
- Organizing schedules and checking time cards.
- Ensuring that all areas are kept clean.
- Ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships and maintenance schedules.
- Helping to manage social media presence.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- Able to handle cash.
- Able to set up, open, and close the restaurant.
- Able to stand for extended durations of time.
- Able to connect with customers.
- Must be able to SMILE and be cheerful.
