Purpose

This position will be responsible for Accounting, Administration, and Human Resources functions.  Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential.  This individual must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Source OTR carrier capacity to ensure timely delivery of customer freight.
• Develop ongoing carrier relationships without relying solely on load boards
• Ability to manage pricing negotiations and obstacles with carriers.
• Qualify carriers, identify capabilities, carrier sales, quoting & branch coordination.
• Study and understand market trends and seasonality
• Establish relationships with customer sales and customers to expand business.
• Managing & servicing our customer accounts.
• Support management and staff in assigned project-based work.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years Truck Planning Experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent related experience
• Strong knowledge of MS Office software products
• High level of confidentiality required
• Understanding of regulatory compliance (DOT, TSA, OSHA, etc.)
• Excellent communication in English
• Word, Excel, Power Point skills

Organization Relationships

• This position will interact with branch colleagues, leadership staff, and office /warehouse personnel
• Must be able to work with customers, vendors, and outside organizations

Work Environment

(With or without accommodations) This position is predominantly sedentary office work which involves sitting, typing, filing, and conversing on the phone.
