We're an upscale-casual restaurant that aims to give diners a delicious, healthy, "farm-to-table" experience featuring locally-sourced, sustainable and organic ingredients.

We offer both indoor seating in the restaurant and outdoor patio seating. We also have an outdoor rooftop deck where we host private events.

What We're Looking For

We are an upscale restaurant in a highly affluent area, and our customers have high expectations of customer service! We are looking for a personable and professional Host/Hostess. The Host is the first and last person seen by our guests, so it's a very important part of making the guest's experience a great one.

Qualities of the Host/Hostess we're looking for include:

• Prior restaurant Host experience is preferred but not required... we will train you.
• At least a High School diploma.
• You have a positive, proactive, friendly, welcoming and professional attitude.
• You have great communication skills -- both in person and over the phone.
• You must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently.
• You are organized and are able to work under pressure.
• You have basic computer skills and are able to use a computer-based reservation system to manage the flow of guests into the restaurant. Experience with Open Table is preferred but not required -- we will train you if you are not familiar with the system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests when they arrive and say goodnight when they leave.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins to control the flow of guests into the restaurant.
• Check phone messages, answer the phone to take new reservations, and return calls to guests who left messages requesting a reservation; enter their reservation into the reservation system.
• Call larger parties to confirm their reservations in advance.
• Assist the servers in setting and clearing tables; when not busy handling reservations, check tables to see if water needs to be refilled.
• Take note of any customer issues or complaints and report to Chef and lead server/manager; deal with complaints or problems with a positive and helpful attitude.
• You must be able to walk without assistance and work on your feet for an extended period of time; you must be physically able to bend, stretch, squat and stretch to fulfill various tasks; you must be able to carry trays of china and glassware.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
