Dental Practice Manager Needed

Our state of the art dental practice needs a Practice Manager to help us run our operations and lead our team. This is a full-time position with a 4-day workweek at our DC office with benefits.

What you’ll be doing as our Practice Manager

As our Practice Manager, you will be responsible for making sure the train always runs on time. Your tasks will vary every day, meaning this job always has something new to challenge you!

Your responsibilities will include:

Human Resources

  • Being the go-to person for HR issues
  • Keeping up the morale of the team – Celebrating successes, remembering birthdays and finding other ways to keep the team motivated.
  • Performing annuals reviews and deciding on raises and bonuses
  • Training and coaching staff as necessary
  • Scheduling the team and managing time-off requests
  • Addressing the grievances of the team

General

  • Overseeing payroll
  • Making sure the patient experience is terrific every day
  • Deescalating patient escalations for a positive outcome
  • Executing the vision of the Doctor on how the practice should run
  • Protecting the practice – Scheduling the team well to minimize overtime hours, making sure the team is happy and giving great customer service so our reputation stays excellent
  • Making sure our team members stay HIPAA compliant
  • Managing communications throughout the office
  • Analyze all financial data, monitor all transactions and prepare appropriate reports
  • Manage and reconcile all financial projects appropriately
  • Monitor all financial transactions and recommend ways to increase effectiveness
  • Completing occasional ongoing education and training
  • Being the point of contact for our payroll company, accountant, benefits provider, etc.

Experience Needed

Prior Dental experience will be necessary to excel in this role. At least 1-year practice management and/or financial coordination and a helpful heart with a love for learning!
