Leader Field Operations
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance coaching to the front line workforce. Facilitate effective two-way communication, especially between front-line workers and the rest of the organization.
- Actively manage the development, training, and evaluation of front line workers to improve individual and team performance.
- Create an environment in which front-line workers are actively involved in the spirit and steps of Continuous Improvement (CI).
- Ensure an ongoing relationship with key internal operations partners.
- Lead safe, efficient operations, providing direction and support to ensure optimal use of resources and timely, safe, and quality service. Build strong working relationships with internal and external groups to coordinate work efforts and support the community relationships of the Operations Center Management.
Required Qualifications for Position
- Five years experience in natural gas distribution operations (or equivalent, ie. HVAC, plumbing, underground utility construction)
- Demonstrated experience with quality improvement principals (eg. Process or productivity improvements, TQM)
- Demonstrated knowledge of gas distribution field operations policies and procedures
- Knowledge of mainframe operations support systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of actions to take when technical, functional and safety problems occur
- Strong knowledge of on the job safety and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions in emergency situations
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to grasp technical explanations of plant/service scenarios and draw accurate conclusions
- Demonstrated Leadership experience
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
- Ability to obtain CDL - Class A
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
- Working knowledge of PC applications
