Master Control System Admin
Job Summary
The Master Control Admin will oversee supporting the electronic global quality management system and overseeing the administration and upkeep of the MasterControl system and is also responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of MasterControl Quality Management software as a service. This individual works closely with the software provider to resolve system issues, propose enhancements, deploy updates, and test and implement additional functionality within the system. The system configuration and electronic data control in Master Control are under the purview of this role. For all system users, this position acts as the primary point of contact for global support. This role collaborates closely with the Global Quality Compliance team and reports to the Manager of Quality Assurance. This role oversees the Master Control system’s process and project enhancements.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and maintain system configuration and control.
Acts as a global help desk contact point.
Acts as a liaison between IT, Help Desk, and global business partners.
Escalate issues with MasterControl Technical Support and communicate regularly.
User management, including creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts according to approved procedures.
Proactively track support issues to provide timely updates and solutions to end users.
Work with vendor to resolve application issues. Coordinate and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
Work with existing process owners to implement new modules and provide additional training to support module users becoming process owners.
View and evaluate system performance and trends.
Create reports and analyses for users.
Provide project support for quality system functions.
Work with Quality and Operations Managers to integrate and deploy the system to new sites.
Manage system access roles.
Ensure system data integrity.
Supports implementation and validation of system changes and upgrades.
Train colleagues on Master Control.
Reviews releases and manages vendor software releases.
Manages the different sandbox environments.
Governs security and permission sets for all employees and contractors
Identifies key projects and milestones.
Be main contact for managed services.
Ensure appropriate documents are maintained as releases and that changes are completed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High qualification and knowledge of MasterControl.
Familiarity with and previous experience working with MasterControl, preferably in a System Administration capacity.
Strong technical ability and understanding of quality management systems.
Strong understanding of computer quality systems and data integrity rules and standards.
Ability to research, troubleshoot and recommend solutions without supervision.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines and maintain high quality output.
Possess the understanding of databases and data structure.
Ability to improve processes and eliminate bottlenecks.
Strong project management skills.
Able to articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to present complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
Ability to think creatively and strategically; highly motivated and motivated.

Job Specifications
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science, business management, or information management related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with systems administration management of Master Control software in a pharma, biopharma/biotech, or healthcare environment.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle, GxP compliance, data integrity standards, and best documentation techniques.
