Manager Data Center is responsible for Operational responsibilities for Systems, Network, Voice, and after hour operations, make sure incidents/SRs opened are followed up within NJT and with vendors. Carriers, and escalate to right groups by following standard NOC procedures for quick resolution of the issues.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
Manage the performance of team(s) of data center operation processionals
Ensure effective and efficient management of day to day data center operations including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangement and hardware logistics.
Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
Manage and improve the work-flows and through-put for data centers operations
Reviews and approves systems design and implementation for efficient production operations.
Interfaces with service vendors and sales personnel to keep abreast of new hardware/software developments.
Interfaces with applications group to develop and implement long term hardware and software resource requirement plan.
Reviews procedures concerning production batch cycles while monitoring services provided to end users and implements changes where necessary.
Also work closely with infra groups on new deployments/upgrades, run cables, rack stack equipment, and help/participate in testing of the equipment.
Be able to adapt to changing environments and support the requirements.
Should be able to meet internally defined SLA/SLOs for problem resolution.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related subject and or six or more years of applied operations experience.
Good working knowledge of the design and operation of large, multi-location data centers.
In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem and incident management.
Literacy in security and customer data protection
Demonstrated communication skill in presentation, open discussion, team coaching
Fluent English verbal and written proficiency
Financial understanding in annual budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts
Project Management skill
Knowledge and Skills:
In-depth knowledge on data center operations, processes and continuous processes improvement
Experience in data center Safety and Security measures
Knowledge of data center server capacity planning
Data mining/analysis skill
ITIL Foundation, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma and/or Risk related certifications
Data Center related certification - CDCP/S/E, CDCMP/TP
