The IT Project Manager plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to an agreed upon schedule, budget, and scope. This includes coordinating efforts of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, IT staff, business, contract staff, or vendors as appropriate. The IT Project Manager is responsible for developing project requirements, writing a project plan, and managing the project through all phases. This position is focused on providing IT project management services for the City of Cedar Rapids Utilities Department. CC&B(Customer Care & Billing) is a huge project for the city and a big revenue generating activity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field and
Five (5) years of work experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of process development and execution.
Experience developing and managing detailed Project work plan, Work Breakdown Structure, and resource allocation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or ability to achieve it within 2 years.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or ability to achieve it within two (2) years.
