What are the responsibilities and job description for the Component Rebuild Technician position at NMC Group?
Job Purpose
NMC’s Component Rebuild Technician is responsible for repairing components to the customer’s satisfaction in the shop by repairing, disassembling, assembling, and performing failure analyses of all types of components including engines, transmissions, differentials, axels, hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves, fuel pumps and undercarriage components.
Essential & Primary Job Duties
Disassemble, repair and assemble customer components (engines, transmissions, differentials, axels, hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves, fuel pumps and undercarriage components) in a temperature and contamination-controlled shop environment.
Reference service manuals, diagnostic software and parts books to determine problems/malfunctions and verify repair specifications and parts required.
Verifies warranty information for parts still under warranty and handles return of core and remanufactured parts.
Performs failure analysis on all components.
Prepares all required forms and reports, such as work orders, warranty information and SIMS reports; charges out time, orders and returns necessary parts.
Participates in all job-related training and applicable development classes to maintain current knowledge base on machines serviced by NMC.
Performs planned maintenance inspections, safety and operational tests on equipment per guidelines.
