Executive Summary of Role
Noble Capital Group, LLC, is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform accounting functions for multiple departments and division within Noble Capital. In addition to performing the day-to-day tasks involved in bookkeeping and basic transaction entries, the position is be responsible for working with the Finance team on various ad-hoc projects. As the accountant, you will be tasked with learning current system protocols and documenting existing processes into standard operating procedures. They will also be responsible for assisting with the FinTech functions of Noble Capital bringing reporting and professional communications to the next level.
Position Functions for Mastery
FINANCE/ACCOUNTING
Cost Accounting: Mastery of a form of managerial accounting that aims to capture a company's total cost of production by assessing the variable costs of each step of production as well as fixed costs, such as a lease expense.
Banking – Finance: Mastery of Banking by the successfully managing the relationship between Noble Capital and its banking partners, to ensure the proper banking and treasury management services are available to Noble Capital, to ensure that the best pricing structure is in place for the benefit of Noble Capital and to ensure that all controls, as prescribed by Corporate Governance are fully capable and established with the banking partners.
GAAP Best Practices: Mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and their proper application to daily transactions to ensure correct recording of accounting activity in the accounting software, including but not limited to banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, capital expenditures, general journal entries.
Finance Technology: Mastery of Finance Technology (FinTech) via constant discovery, improvement, innovation and integration of cutting-edge technologies into the Noble Capital framework.
Accounting Systems & Technology: Mastery of Accounting Systems & Technology via the sourcing, installation and operations of key accounting and financial reporting programs for Noble Capital.
Position Requirements
- BA/BS degree in accounting.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in accounting, with responsibility in various area, including cash, AR, AP, fixed assets, transaction entry.
- Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel (Power Pivot Tables/Charts/Formulas) preferable.
- Working knowledge of databases and online sharing systems.
- Excellent organization skills to create and maintain an orderly work environment.
- Ability to handle a multitude of projects simultaneously.
- Strong experience in planning, coordinating, managing, and executing strict deadlines.
