Noble Company, a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a motivated, technically savvy and strong problem solver to join our Accounting & Finance team as the Controller. In this leadership role, the Controller will be responsible for all areas relating to accounting and finance. This role will work closely with subsidiary leaders to maintain strong accounting principles and manage an accounting team.

Location: Spring Lake, MI in-office (7300 Enterprise Dr.)
Reports to: President of Noble Company (who is located in onsite).
Team Dynamics: On a team with other key leaders-the VP of Operations, Director of Procurement & Administration, Sales & Marketing. This role will have 2 non-exempt direct reports in Accounting. Coaching, learning and employee development is encouraged. Opportunity to lead Finance and Accounting for the company!
Travel: Less than 10%.
Certifications: None required, CPA preferred.
The Ideal Candidate will have: Well-versed experience with ERP & report writing. Previous hands-on Staff Accountant / Financial Analysis background with month end closing, AR, AP. A solid work history is a must.

What you’ll be doing:
· Manages the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, etc.
· Supervises the accounting team. Is responsible for providing leadership to ensure work is properly allocated and performed in a timely manner.
· Performs all company specific month end and year end tasks such as closing, budgeting, forecasting, income statement and balance sheet analysis. Will develop Journal Entries, maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
· Is an expert with all accounting and customer service related systems such as the ERP (Traverse). Has the ability to understand all reporting needs and will provide ad hoc reports to upper management and sales teams.
· Directs all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports. Ensures that expenses are in line with projected revenue and presents findings and recommendations to management.
· Participates in the company’s auditing efforts. This includes all financial and inventory by collecting required documentation and physical audit counts through the ERP.
Background you’ll need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in a general accounting or financial reporting role with increased responsibility.
· General familiarity with information systems and report writing abilities.
· A minimum of 3 years of successful management and employee development of a professional team.
· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with accounting close.
· Knowledge of all the local, state and federal tax laws and business regulations as they apply to the scope of the position.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the use of the internet.
