Job Summary
The Safety Admin/Specialist will assist the Safety Manager to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws, establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace and safe practices. You will assist in partnering with providing support and execution in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, labor relations, training, talent management, risk/compliance, organizational development, compliance, and special projects. The Safety Admin/Specialist position will be in Belle Vernon, PA, however, some travel to our corporate office may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Duties:
- Assist Safety Manager with all onboarding of new-hire employees.
- Collect, file, and process all Safety and HR related documentation.
- Help support employees’ questions and/ or safety concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist in building world class safety programs leading to sustainable change in the safety culture.
- Gather EHS information and reports, including the generation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, their corresponding analysis, and the proposition of improvement actions.
· Coordinates with team members for onboarding and works closely with hiring managers to make sure proper paperwork is received.
· Enters and evaluates safety performance assessments.
· Promotes safety culture and integration of best practices to support workplace health and safety.
· Assist with revisions to policies, programs and practices as needed. Partner with legal department to ensure compliance with all state and federal statutes, laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws, and regulations related to FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA.

Qualifications and Skills
- 0-3 years’ experience in safety, human resources, or related field
- BS/BA in safety management or related filed is a preferred.
- Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Ability in producing reports, statistics, and assist in developing relevant policies.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Physical demands
Frequent, bending, stooping, squatting, as well as walking. Frequent sitting to access information on the computer.
