Responsibilities
Noblis is helping the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) manage large and complex telecommunications and information management programs that use state of the art technologies to manage enterprise infrastructure services essential to the safe and efficient operation of the largest, safest, and most complex aviation system in the world. Specific responsibilities include:
- Engage directly with the client and engineers to support and oversee the design, deployment, and management of dynamic resources on an existing FAA Platform
- Work closely with a team to implement a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment for the customers and programs; this environment will leverage an existing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment.
- Work with a project lead to architect cloud-based solutions with the responsibility to ensure customer expands their current functionality
- Work with the stakeholders to create a PaaS capability that will support a complex set of Operating Systems, Databases, data analysis, network infrastructure, security services and container orchestration services. This task will entail evaluating and implementing several technologies and concepts which are integral to PaaS (Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization and container orchestration).
- Evaluate underlying technologies and products, planning and implementing a modern, high performance PaaS environment in fast paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with Linux server and Windows client operating systems, hardware infrastructure from client endpoints to datacenter components, networking and other telecommunications and software development tools.
- The position will develop solution architectures and seek practical solutions that optimize and re-use current capabilities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 9 years’ experience in IT software architecture and dev ops deployments
- Experience working with Ansible, Terraform, Docker and Linux System Administration experience
- Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
- Experience with hardware virtualization
- Experience and extensive knowledge running Bash scripts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple tasks
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills with emphasis on self-initiation, teamwork and follow through
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are extremely important to effectively communicate with team members in remote offices
- Positive customer service attitude
Desired Qualifications:
- Portfolio demonstrating examples of previous work preferred
- create custom tailored platform configurations that allow the users to quickly provision rich production and\or development applications stacks and provide rich monitoring tools, auto scaling and other tier one features.
- Ability to implement modern technologies such as containers and container orchestration and other cloud native capabilities to enhance services that software teams need effectively build, deploy, and manage systems to the existing FAA Platform.
- Experience with data analysis and database sizing
- Interest in research and keeping up with current technology trends
- Ability to support multiple projects
- Experience in integrating with third party applications
- Experience with Agile processes
