As an ARPA-H (Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health) Commercialization Specialist for the Strategic Technical ARPA-H Talent Support (STATS) Program at Noblis, you will be part of our Health Solutions account team, where you will leverage your financial management, budget analysis, and acquisition experience providing planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of research and development (R&D) programs throughout their lifecycle, directly supporting Federal PM and the ARPA-H leaders to deliver transformative, sustainable, and equitable health solutions for the Nation.

 

This is an opportunity for someone with experience in R&D and ARPA settings to work with an exceptionally talented and high-performing team on challenging and cutting-edge healthcare projects.  ARPA-H advances high-potential, high-impact biomedical, healthcare, and health research that cannot be readily accomplished through traditional research or commercial activity. Key focus areas of ARPA-H research portfolio will include Health Science Futures (expanding what’s technically possible), Scalable Solutions (reaching everyone quickly), Proactive Health (keeping people from being patients), and Resilient Systems (building integrated healthcare systems).

 

Role Description:

Noblis is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercialization Specialist to join our team at ARPA-H (Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health). The successful candidate will play a vital part in transforming ARPA-H's cutting-edge biomedical program solutions and discoveries into successful commercial products and ventures. You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and business leaders to navigate the commercialization process, ensuring a smooth transition from the lab to the marketplace.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Evaluate the commercial potential of new technologies and intellectual property.
  • Conduct market research to identify target markets and customer needs.
  • Develop comprehensive commercialization plans, including market entry strategies, pricing models, and revenue projections.
  • Secure funding and investment opportunities for promising technologies.
  • Manage and negotiate licensing agreements and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (research, engineering, marketing, sales) to ensure successful commercialization.
  • Track and analyze the success of commercialization efforts and recommend improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Provide Noblis-internal leadership, including:
    • Possible line management responsibilities.
    • Providing professional development and mentorship for teammates.
    • Development of new Business Development (BD) opportunities and related capture management, in close collaboration with Noblis’ BD team.

 

Hybrid role - up to 3 days on-site

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • A minimum of eleven (11) years past work experience in acting in a technical role in a relevant field of research including management roles preferably in a governmental research or scientific organizations
  • Master in degree in information Design and Technology, or related field required.
  • Experience including a combination of technology/research and business required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in design and user centered product development, engagement and transition of health care solutions highly preferred.
  • Experience including a combination of technology/research and business.
  • Experience in entrepreneurial business, market research, product development, or supply chain/manufacturing.
  • Strong technical background in engineering, technology development or scientific research.
  • Experience with basic and applied research and prior experience as a senior Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Contractor is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Federal Healthcare and/or Scientific Consulting, supporting complex healthcare and programs of a research and development (R&D) nature is preferred.
  • Experience with ARPA processes and direct support to Government program managers highly preferred.
  • Prefer experience supporting DARPA or related Federal "ARPA" agencies (IARPA, ARPA-E, ARPA-H, HSARPA) strongly desired.
  • Individual will have demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in a scientific or technological discipline.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks at once and adhere to guidelines, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of R&D industry procurement trends, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and handle frequent changes as needed.
  • Demonstrated creativity, foresight, initiative, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities to mediate priorities and negotiate with vendors, team members, and stakeholders
  • Proven results-oriented problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment, demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and function productively in the face of new assignments and the re-prioritization of existing assignments.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

 

Posted Salary Range

USD $109,100.00 - USD $206,250.00 /Yr.
