Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking a highly qualified Senior Solutions Director in the Defense market based in the Huntsville Alabama. This highly qualified individual will be aligned to the Defense Mission area of the company. With well-established long-term delivery in the Defense Community, we are in the process of expanding our capabilities for growing our footprint. Our current needs include demonstrated client relationship development and portfolio management experience as well as team leadership for client delivery.

 

The Senior Solutions Director will work across Noblis and serve as the Defense Mission Area Solutions Lead, act as a Change Agent and Advisor, support Cross-Cut integration across Noblis Mission Areas, and develop scientific and technical solutions for Customers and proposals. This position will develop a full understanding of the service offerings, scientific capabilities, and technologies offered by Noblis, and will leverage these to prepare complex solutions for our federal government clients. The role will work with Noblis' Mission Area Vice Presidents, business development, scientific researchers, and senior technical staff as well as the proposal development teams to develop solutions, integrate innovative approaches and technology, and incorporate feedback from proposal efforts into current and new Noblis offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance, advice, and direction across the Noblis Defense Mission Area. The Director will define, prioritize, and support/lead solution architecting for Defense Mission Area portfolio opportunities and develop an inclusive strategic plan to unify Noblis Defense Mission Areas. The Director will develop/support pursuit of defined and new opportunities by exploring current and needed capabilities and known and periphery markets. The Director reports to the Defense Mission Area President and Business Development leadership and serves as a strategy advisor to Noblis leadership including the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Corporate Business Development, and other Mission Area leaders. The Director will collaborate across Defense Mission Areas ensuring “Cross-Cuts” solutions on identified pursuits. Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Defense Mission Area President and Business Development leadership and corporate Noblis CTO, Business Development, and other Mission Area leadership to develop solutioning for and execute complex projects.
  • Support Noblis Defense Mission Areas in analyzing market dynamics, market share changes, emerging opportunities, and new Markets/geographies.  
  • Identify, support, and lead Noblis and Noblis Defense projects, joint ventures, potential M&A targets, and other strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Support identification of strategic and execution risks and monitoring mitigation to closure.
  • Collaborate with Noblis Marketing and Communications organization to outline branding opportunities and support and lead implementation across Mission Areas, industrial base partners, and others. Support and lead Noblis Defense Strategic Plan segments including those connected to corporate priorities.  
  • Define, support, and manage/lead short/long term projects informing critical initiatives by collaborating across Mission Areas and key staff.  
  • Partner with Noblis leadership, special committees, and consultants to support execution of key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Corporate leadership and the CFO to develop a capital plan in line with Noblis Defense strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and 12 years of related experience, or Master’s and 10 years related experience, or Doctorate and 8 years; OR a minimum of 18 years of experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of five years of experience managing direct reports.

  • Must demonstrate experience navigating the Defense Market
  • Knowledge/experience within the Defense Community and its various agencies, organizations, and operational structures.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the Defense arena supporting various customers, such as the Army or Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Ten (10) years project management experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience with relevant acquisition processes, procedures, and laws
  • Understanding of Defense Community contracts, finance and program management systems, including processes related to various types of competitions, types of contracts, and timely strategies and trends within the Defense sector.
  • Minimum of Top Secret Clearance

  • Unquestionable integrity, credibility and character

  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
