Responsibilities
Noblis MSD has an immediate opening in Philadelphia, PA to provide Network Engineering to Government and US. Navy personnel associated with the technical aspects of information systems.
- Plans, designs, develops, and implements network engineering plans and wide-scale networks for clients.
- Monitors all activities of the network facilities and ensures high quality data transmission.
- Provides technical support in all client interaction situations, including receipt of specifications, design, testing, and response to service requests.
- Debugs and tests networks, plans projects, and performs needs assessments.
- Prepares/oversees cost/benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installation, problem resolution, and multi-vendor product integration.
- Provides resolution for system failures or degradations and may provide initial implementation support of networks to assure proper execution.
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and resolves IP address schemes, ACLs, VLANs, and Firewalls.
- Provides project management support and documentation as required.
- Sets up routers and switches and supports Windows and Linux server operating systems, and shipboard machinery controls.
- Supports technical refreshes for hardware and software while maintaining existing systems.
- Supports RMF packages and documentation to maintain an active ATO.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years of network engineering experience.
- The position requires the candidate to obtain an active Secret security clearance.
- Candidate must possess or can obtain in a short time the following certifications:
- Security
- Operating System training certificate one of the following Linux, Windows 10, or Server 2008 or higher.
- Experience with the following:
- Cisco routers and switches
- Firewalls
- Knowledge and familiarity with the following is a plus:
- Active Directory
- Configure, maintain, and support Host Based Security System (HBSS) and clients
- Tenable Security Center/Nessus Scanner (ACAS)
- Database Administration
- VMware ESXi and VDI
- Machinery controls and PLCs.
- Must be able to physically maneuver on board US Navy Ships and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Effective written and oral communication skills as well as consistent documentation habits are essential in this team orientated position.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
