POSITION TITLE: Tool Inventory Clerk
REPORTS TO: Field Service Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain the inventory, restock tooling to identified warehouse locations, and perform other duties as directed by the Field Facility Supervisor.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Incorporate safety and environmental responsibility into daily action.
- Utilize and improve the Nooter Management System (NMS) to effectively and efficiently fulfill requirements from customers, regulators, and NCC values, policies, objectives, and targets.
- Incorporate positive people skills when communicating or interacting with vendors, craft, and NCC personnel.
- Employ organizational skills.
- Offload tools /equipment from trucks and restock to identified areas.
- Maintain company trucks/vehicles per policies.
- Inventory tools, equipment, and supplies that are returned from job sites.
- Update item locations at Field Service.
- Participate in safety audits to ensure compliance with prior safety training and safety program requirements regarding housekeeping, storage methods, work practices, etc.
Marginal Functions
- Perform additional assignments per the direction of the Operations Manager/Field Facility Supervisor.
Physical Activities: Physical activities commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
Walk, verbally communicate, stand, climb, kneel, lift, pull. Drive a vehicle.
Physical Demands: Physical demands commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
Function 6 requires climbing, pulling, and lifting.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
Employee is subject to inside and outside conditions, including high and low ambient temperatures.
Employee subject to hazards of operating at elevated levels.
Employee will occasionally be subject to noise levels above 85 dbl and will be required to wear ear protection.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of hand tools and basic computer skills.
Experience:
Prior experience in inventory control is not required.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids: (These may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.)
All tools utilized by crafts employed by NCC, most commonly Boilermakers, Pipefitters, Electricians, and Ironworkers.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
Valid state-issued driver's license.
