NORC partners with government, corporate, and nonprofit clients around the world to conduct survey research that informs critical decisions facing society.
- NORC Field Data Collectors, internally known as field interviewers, play a significant role in collecting the data that drives our research.
- They conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather survey data for research on subjects including health care, employment, education, and economics.
The Ideal Candidate for Field Data Collector
- Looking for flexible, part-time work (20 25 hours a week). Our most successful interviewers typically dedicate 4-6 hours a day to interviewing.
- Self-starter who can manage, organize, and commit to your own work schedule.
- Enjoys meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and professions.
- Available to meet with people in-person at their homes, jobs, via phone, or other public spaces to conduct interviews
- Prefer some field interviewing, enumerator, customer-facing, server, sales, or customer service experience.
Requirements For Employment :
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Must be willing to drive in metropolitan / urban / rural areas within a 50 100-mile range
- Able to work a mix of day, afternoon, evening, and weekends when people are more likely to be at home.
- Must be comfortable making contact with participants unannounced and without appointments
- NORC Field Interviewer experience preferred
- Must have basic knowledge of a tablet or laptop computer usage skills such as sending email or opening and using a web browser to search for information.
- All employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States (I9 documentation).

Salary And Benefits :
This position is classified as intermittent. The pay rate for this position will be $18.00 per hour, based on experience and geographic location.
- NORC will contribute to an individually owned, fully vested retirement account for those who meet eligibility requirements.

Our sampling captures a true picture of America, providing better representation than other panels for hard-to-reach populations, including low-income households, less educated persons, young adults, rural households, persons who are less interested in the news, and social and political conservatives.

- Project will begin training in mid August 2024. Work begins once training has been completed in August 2024 and the project is anticipated to continue through November 2024 .
