As a Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for optimizing production efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery of products, and managing inventory levels. This role plays a pivotal part in our company's success by coordinating production plans, schedules, and resources to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and optimizing resource utilization.

You'll use Epicor, our ERP system, to plan production needs while in close communication with members of our Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure we have exactly what we need to produce our award-winning kitchenware.

What you will get to do:

• Plan, release and review manufacturing jobs for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production needs.
• Ensure current, future job and plan details are in conjunction with Weekly Hours Capacity Plan for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual plan.
• Maintain an ongoing production plan in advance of needs.
• Keep the plan and all jobs current using system suggestions.
• Prioritize jobs to create a short-term Production Department Dispatch List.
• Support the Planning Department's communication of the Production Plan to Production, Shipping and Sales.
• Communicate production schedule past due and scheduling issues to department managers and plant manager.
• Provide and communicate the production plan for inventory back in stock.
• Together with the rest of the Planning department, identify and communicate staffing numbers for all production departments - daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
• Use the scheduling system to communicate upcoming department needs to support the movement of materials and tooling to offsite warehouse.
• Assist in coordination of new product production.
• Coordinate order/job flow through to the plant with fellow planners, schedulers, and other departments.
• Advise substitute jobs based on needs and available material.
• Monitor bill of material revisions to ensure appropriate production plans and raw material levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 2 years of experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP), Manufacturing Planning, Scheduling and ERP Software.
• Related education or certification preferred.
• Ability to understand manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Good computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.
• Strong mathmatical, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
• A motivated self-starter with a strong sense of accountability.
• Ability to work independently while working closely and collaboratively with the team, multiple production departments and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week during busy times.
