Job Description Supply Chain technology transformation is central to Nordstrom’s strategic vision and our leadership is investing in our growth. In the past year, we’ve aggressively begun streamlining our technology to support a scalable and AI driven supply chain network. This will provide the foundation to quickly integrate state of the art automated, omni-channel fulfillment and distribution management systems. Nordstrom’s supply chain services process hundreds of thousands of orders per day, with transactions in tens of millions of dollars per day, and account for roughly half of the company’s multi-billion-dollar sales for the year. We are hiring an Administrative Assistant to help support this growing team. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service every day! We’re looking for someone who has a can-do positive attitude who demonstrates consistent high-level of performance while maintaining a professional demeanor and the highest level of confidence and trust. A day in the life… Responsible for supporting calendar management for several senior leaders; proactively prioritize, schedule, prepare for, coordinate, and communicate meetings and events Schedule and plan dynamic activities (meetings, presentations, events etc.) across multiple teams using creative formats (including virtual events) Triage and cascade relevant, actionable information to and from leadership, maintaining high levels of confidentiality where applicable Set up and regularly review operating practices and procedures; determine whether improvements can be made and work with management to implement changes as appropriate Coordinate and schedule complex travel plans Assist in maintaining department budget and maintain expense reconciliations Help build company culture by organizing events to support employee engagement and setting up employee appreciation initiatives Actively drive special projects as assigned You own this if you have… 2 years of experience supporting Leadership with calendar management and day-to-day support Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent training and/or experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Clear written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively build relationships with partners, peers and leadership and easily work across a wide variety of work styles Customer service mindset Demonstrated flexibility, ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize Strong organizational skills, follow through and problem-solving abilities Experience as a resourceful and adaptable self-starter, working with minimal supervision in an ambiguous environment Prior retail, wholesale, or supply chain experience would be a plus Experience working in enterprise environment is preferred We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
