What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cytotechnologist-Cytology position at NorDx?
- Education: Knowledge of pathology functions, practices and procedures acquired through a Baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or Baccalaureate degree in an equivalent science with certification in an accredited cytotechnology program.
- License/Certifications: Certification as a Cytotechnologist by a recognized professional organization (i.e. ASCP) is required.
- Experience: N/A
- Ability to learn and work efficiently with a variety of laboratory computer systems. Accurate data entry skills.
- Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend
- Must be able to travel among company sites.
Position Summary
Independently performs detailed and complex analyses of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens to detect the presence of abnormal cells.
