Additional specific accountabilities include but are not limited to: Design, creation and manufacturing of circuits, components, systems and fitting or integrating them into the machines standard system. Manufacturing and fitting of electrical harnesses to other machine related components. Testing and adjusting of all electrical components, systems and sub systems. Commissioning of machine electrical systems. Fault finding, repairing, replacing and providing technical advice. Liaising with engineering department on electrical/electronic development and wiring diagrams. Inspection, audit, servicing, repair and/or overhaul of Normet’s equipment to OEM specifications in both workshop and or remote mine sites. Electrical installation of accessories and ancillary equipment on a wide variety of vehicles and plant equipment. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate. All work to be performed safely and at a level of quality acceptable to both Normet and customer expectation. You may be required to work on non-Normet machines as part of any build service work as requested by the client. Maintain tools and equipment to high standard. Maintaining Normet’s’ quality goals in the manufacturing area and reporting any non-conformances issues. Adding to the overall result by inputting ideas to the continuous improvement process. Where possible, ensure there is only a maximum of 5% down time of equipment. Interact directly with reporting manager for all engineering, Service and Supply Chain queries. Interact directly with Safety Coordinator in relation to all safety issues, concerns, hazards and near misses and communicate back to reporting manager. Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System. Join us in helping our customers to build the safest workplaces underground!
