Höganäs in North America is seeking a Project Engineer for its production facility located in Hollsopple, PA.
About the position
This position provides project engineering management for various assignments. Supports Production, Maintenance, and Quality in reducing operating costs, increasing productivity, reducing labor intensive operations, and improving product quality. Also participates in the coordination of capital investment projects.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Manages projects to complete in set constraints of cost, quality, and time.
- Evaluates and provides justification, specifications, and scope of work, design drawings, P & I diagrams, bidding, scheduling, supervision, startup, and commissioning of assigned projects.
- Serves as a liaison between production, maintenance, other internal departments, and outside contractors for various assignments.
- Supports all facilities and departments in the areas of technical expertise in the fields including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering.
- Conducts capacity analysis.
- Participates in CAPEX preparation process.
- Ability to perform design work using advanced CAD software.
- Demonstrates leadership capability and uses team effort to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Supports research and development of new process techniques.
- Arranges outside contractors to perform work at the facility.
- Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.
Your profile
The qualified and selected candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of five years of work experience in a manufacturing environment are required.
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design software, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in writing and communicating detailed engineering reports, showing ability to identify problems, and recommend process improvements.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
