Summary of Position
At North Cascades Institute (NCI), we take pride in serving high quality and nourishing meals to our program participants, staff and guests. To help maintain and grow this standard, NCI is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role as the Food Service Supervisor, who provides leadership within the kitchen environment, supports the Food Service Manager and plays a key role in maintaining the exceptional standard of meal service that the Institute is known for. This role models professionalism and maintains high quality standards established by the Food Service Manager to their kitchen team. As a leader in the kitchen, the Food Service Supervisor is able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the kitchen team. This position is based out of the Institute's field campus in North Cascades National Park at the Institute's Environmental Learning Center (ELC). The jobsite is in a remote National Park which can experience snow-covered roads, avalanches, wildfire, smoke, wild animals, and flooding. This is a regular, full-time position supervised by the Food Service Manager.

Compensation - This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position subject to a winter furlough (unpaid) of one to two months. The pay rate is $23.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is subject to a $1 increase for utilizing non-NCI housing. The job location for this position is at the Environmental Learning Center.
