Job Title: BILLING SUPPORT
JOB PURPOSE
To assist and support Billing Department team members.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist Billing Department with Sales Order confirmation, CMN processing and order processing as needed.
2. Assist clients with billing inquiries.
3. Responsible for maintaining and following up on the Stop/Hold report and CMN report.
4. Monitor and process incoming billing scans and orders.
5. Gather proof of deliveries for drop ships and file in system.
6. Gather necessary information for Billing Specialists to process insurance claims.
7. Provide support to Billing Department, as needed.
8. Responsible for knowing and following all NCMSE policies and procedures.
9. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping in your area.
10. Must be able to sit for prolonged hours.
11. Responsible for working quietly and efficiently in order to not disturb other employees.
12. Authorized to routinely use and disclose standard categories of protected health information for billing purposes as authorized by the governing body.
13. Computer security denies access to unauthorized information.
14. Responsible for safeguarding the privacy of patient’s health information.
15. Must conduct oral discussions of PHI with other staff or with patients and family members in a manner that limits the possibility of inadvertent disclosures.
16. Report suspected violations of policies and procedures of business associates and staff members to safeguard PHI.
17. Adhere to all confidentiality regulations regarding customer’s information.
18. Perform any other miscellaneous tasks/duties as assigned or required by management.
19. Authorized to routinely use and disclose standard categories of protected health information to determine if diagnoses are covered for particular equipment and supplies, customer address, directions to home for deliveries and on call emergencies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school education or GED certificate or 6 months experience and/or training in related field. Must attend continuing education classes as needed for computer updates, or other skills as requested by management.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately. Ability to interpret reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate with customers and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged hours, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee sits approximately 50% of the time and stands approximately 50% of the time when dealing with customers, using the fax, copy machine, printers, label machine, price gun, telephone and credit card machine. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to sit, climb stairs, reach, stoop, walk, and kneel. Employee is required to be able to read and write. Employee is required to have good organizational skills, telephone, customer service and computer skills.
