Rooted in a biblical worldview, our teaching makes history a dynamic tool for fostering critical thinking, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the divine narrative shaping human history. Through exploring historical events, students gain insights into the consequences of human actions, the enduring nature of God's grace, and the impact individuals have on societies. Our approach equips students with a comprehensive grasp of the past and the wisdom to navigate the present aligned with a biblical worldview, illuminating complex relationships in a fallen world.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in education, history, or related field
• 3 years of teaching experience
• Passion for teaching/working with Middle School students
• Knowledge of research-based approaches to curriculum, instruction, and assessment
• Proficient use of technology in service of learning
• A relational, kingdom-focused learner with a growth mindset

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and teach a variety of Middle School history courses
• Lead/facilitate 1-2 extracurricular activities such as a club or sport
• Care and nurture for the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of each student
• Develop authentic assessments and learning outcomes as part of the Middle School team
• Collaborate with colleagues in lesson planning, weekly meetings, school-wide initiatives, and professional learning opportunities
• Execute additional faculty duties (e.g. lunch, enrichment, recess, carline) and others as assigned

• This is a 10 month, full time (40 hours per week) contract position.
