North Florida Surgeons, P.A. is looking to hire a Medical Assistant for our Baptist Jacksonville Division. This is a Full-Time opportunity Monday through Friday from 7:30am-5pm.

Located in sunny Jacksonville, Florida, the surgeons of Baptist Jacksonville Division of North Florida Surgeons are committed to providing patients with the highest level of surgical care and the most comprehensive treatment. Building on a tradition since 1996, our number one goal is to provide patients with a skilled and trusted doctor.


This candidate’s responsibilities will include rooming patients, cleaning rooms and charting for providers. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:


  • Providing nursing assistance to physician
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Greeting and chaperoning patients during medical visit
  • Maintaining medical documentation
  • Scheduling care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processing prescription requests and referrals

Requirements

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED Education Preferred
  • Two Years Patient Care Experience Preferred
  • 1 year experience in Physician's Office Preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
