Gain the knowledge and practical experience to make competent decisions regarding medical and trauma customers in emergent situations. This course follows the standards set forth by the Minnesota EMS Regulatory Board and the National Education Standards. Successful completion of this course and the National Registry exam will certify you as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Upon successful completion of the class, you are required to work for North Memorial Ambulance (in the region of your choice) for at least one year. At a minimum, you must work in a part-time capacity. In some cases, full-time positions will be available.
In-person skills sessions: 8/30, 9/16, 10/21, 11/18, 12/16 in Robbinsdale, MN or a local North Memorial Health Ambulance base. Application Deadline is: 7/31
Lectures are done virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Anyone accepted must meet class attendance requirements.
