Job Posting for Connect Group Director at North Phoenix Baptist Church
Job Summary: In keeping with the Church’s mission and Pastors vision, the Connect Group Pastor’s role is to engage church members to participate in home or on campus connect groups and oversee all connect groups
Work Performed:
To encourage, and engage new members to take their next steps to connect with discipleship and the church.
To oversee the physical needs of connect groups such as location, set up, audio visual needs etc.
To recruit, vet and manage all connect group leaders.
To ensure, recommend and oversee all curriculum taught in each connect group.
To provide ongoing training to connect group leaders as individually identified and needed.
To disciple and mentor connect group leaders and advise them on how to handle special circumstances of their members as they arise.
To spot check and provide quality oversight of connect groups and provide training as needed to leaders.
To track attendance of all connect group participants.
Work with the communications and Hospitality teams to expand participation in connect groups.
Work in collaboration with the Discipleship Pastor to move Next Step class participants into a Connect Group.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years experience in managing church connect groups.
Understanding of curriculum for groups that are in agreement with church doctrine.
Ability to recruit, train and disciple volunteers and connect group leaders.
Ability to lead, encourage and motivate teams.
Member of North Phoenix Baptist Church.
