North Pinellas Children’s Medical Center (NPCMC) is seeking to expand the integration and delivery of behavioral health services within its pediatric setting. As part of the Children’s Mental Health Initiative (CMHI), a countywide collective, NPCMC is seeking a dynamic Program Administrator to support program growth and development. The Program Administrator position will function as the central hub in relation to the general administrative, fiscal oversight and programmatic functions of the Childrens Mental Health Initiative (CMHI) within the pediatric practice. The Program Administrator will act as the primary point of contact and liaison for funders, community partners and other program stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to apply critical thinking skills to address systemic enhancements and problem solve around complex areas of need.
  • The ability to apply creative thinking skills to further the mission of CMHI.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resource requirements, accounting principles, budget management and credentialing requirements. 
  • Familiarity with navigating databases or Electronic Medical Records.
  • Ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of medical insurance billing practices or have direct experience in medical coding and billing.

Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Work or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of program management experience, team leadership or organizational leadership in a health care setting or similar environment.
  • Educational requirements may be substituted by a combination of direct program management experience that exceeds four years.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a professional background with experience in both the fields of mental health and medical practice settings. 

Essential Physical Skills:
  • Able to walk, stand, talk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb and descend steps, carry or lift up to 25lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Able to read up close or at a distance, have peripheral vision and have depth perception.
  • Able to communicate, verbally and in writing with physicians, co-workers and patients/caregivers.
