What are the responsibilities and job description for the Political Canvasser position at North Shore Strategies?
Description
North Shore Strategies is seeking qualified staff to perform canvassing and campaign work for competitive political races in the New York Metropolitan Area, Long Island or Westchester County collecting petition signatures for the upcoming election. This is an entry level campaign position and requires no prior experience. We will train the right candidates.
Requirements:
- Registered Democrat in New York State
- Absolute confidentiality with regard to all aspects of the campaign
- The ability to comprehend messaging for and articulate issues related to the campaign
- Regular communication of progress and submission of daily reports
- Adherence to schedule and punctuality
- The ability to communicate electronically at all times while working
- The ability to schedule 7 days in advance
- The ability to stand and walk for up to 5 hours at a time
