This is a position for supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department. Responsibilities require knowledge of hospital and nursing policies, allowing independent judgment in their interpretation. The House Supervisor duties included provision of managerial and clinical links between the staff and department directors in their absence, and their absence, and the administrator-on-call.
- Hold staff accountable for treating patients and family with respect and dignity and good customer services.
- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems.
- Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing resources to meet patient care requirements and other professional responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
- Minimum of five (5) years in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
