Maintenance Worker - Facilities Maintenance
1. Responds to various work orders and special projects as directed by the Facility Maintenance Crew leader.
2. Assist in maintaining corporate buildings and grounds in top condition.
3. Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects.
4. Performs basic facility and/or maintenance repairs.
5. Performs weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with: roofing, plumbing, HVAC systems and exterior and interior of buildings.
6. Perform prep and painting of protective coatings on NTMWD pipelines and appurtenances.
7. Act as a substitute custodian when necessary.
8. Work overtime when needed in order to prevent disruption of District activities.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have the ability to understand directions and be able to perform those tasks with or without direct supervision.
Education and Experience:
1. Requires a valid Texas Driver’s License.
2. Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Environmental Factors, Activity Levels and Equipment
This position requires significant physical exertion with lifting requirements up to 50 pounds daily and up to 100 pounds weekly. Working conditions include exposure to weather, odor, chemical hazards, gases and dust. Will be required to use small hand tools, and safety equipment.
