Manager, Patient Access & Communications
At NorthBay Health the Manager of Patient Access & Communications will work onsite and will have responsibility and accountability for the operational management of the inpatient, outpatient, emergency and ambulatory surgery registration areas, hospital PBX communication, financial counseling, and financial verification. The Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of the day to day operations, staffing, development of personnel, compliance with corporate, regulatory, and professional standards and fostering of interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships among providers and staff. This individual directly coordinates personnel activities such as hiring, conducting disciplinary action, training, and staff scheduling. This individual assures department compliance with standard practices and regulatory requirements. The focus of the Manager is customer service, quality care, and productivity, in accordance to organizational mission statement, values, and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Meets all additional requirements related to job duties and all certification/ education requirements as set by the corporation and Patient Access & Communications.
1. Education/Training: Baccalaureate Degree in Business/Hospital Administration or other related field required. Must complete HR leadership classes within 24 months of being hired.
2. Licensure/Certification: NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) within through 12 months of hire.
3. Experience: 5 years of healthcare experience in a registration, accounts receivable, or managed care environment, including direct staff supervisory experience required. Proficient in Windows environment. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications preferred.
4. Technical Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Possesses teaching ability, leadership ability, and high professional standards. Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently and is an effective team member. Word Processing skills required. Demonstrated clinical skills in working with adults (young adult, adult, geriatric).
5. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence including, but not limited to professionalism, customer focus, compassion, strong listening skills, and a warm demeanor. Consistently exhibits empathy, optimism, resourcefulness in interactions with others. Is extremely open to learning new things and teaming with others in a collaborative environment. Proven track record of conducting him/herself in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the unique complexities and challenges of the healthcare environment. Ability to interact in a professional manner with administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel. Ability to establish trust and rapport as a subject matter expert with external customers. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in developing and promoting high performance work groups. Compensation:
- Annual Salary range: $89,000 - $100,000 ( Offered salary based on years of experience)
- Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity: max potential of 15% of annualized salary
