Registered Nurse (RN) (1:4), Group home- Burlington, MA

• Location: Burlington, MA.

• Shifts: 7:30a-3:30p; 3:30p-11:30p; and 11:30p-7:30a.

Northeast Arc Clinical Services is looking to welcome passionate, caring Registered Nurses (RN) to provide care to our clients (1:4 nurse-patient ratio) in our medical model group home in Burlington. The RN is responsible for caring for four medically stable adult patients with the help of two direct care support staff.

Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a registered nurse who has provided direct patient care in an inpatient setting
• Tracheostomy, central line, gastrostomy tube experience is a preferred
• Current MA nursing license, RN
• Current CPR certification

About Northeast Arc-Clinical Services:

• Northeast Arc-Clinical Services is a home care agency out of Danvers that specializes in Continuous Care Nursing for medically complex children and adults. This means it is more than a VNA; we provide block nursing in shifts anywhere from 2-16 hours at a time. We work 1-on-1 with a patient in their home, school, or community setting. We help families navigate the complexities of their loved one’s medical care, ensuring patients stay at home and out of the hospital. Our primary goal is to assist in allowing parents/children/spouses to maintain THAT role instead of being their Loved one’s primary “nurse”.

Our cases run the gamut from general nursing care to extremely complex ICU-level home care. Almost all our patients have some type of feeding challenge and are either G or J-tube feeding dependent. Others might have tracheostomies and require ventilator support; others might have seizure disorders, use ostomy appliances, need wound management, require diabetic maintenance, and so much more. While our primary focus is helping to manage complex medical care at home, our equally important goal is to ensure our patient’s social-emotional health & well-being. We have many families looking for nursing help and get new referrals all the time. There simply aren’t enough nurses to care for them all.
