NKHS is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization operating with the purpose of promoting high quality, comprehensive community mental health programs in Vermont’s beautiful Northeast Kingdom. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post standard journal and payroll entries to the General Ledger on a monthly basis or as required to ensure accurate General Ledger balances and/or financial reporting
Maintain and coordinate reconciliation of Agency grant revenue spreadsheet on a monthly basis within accounting team
Work cooperatively with purchasing/Accounts Payable and Receivable staff to maintain seamless reporting of purchasing, billing, revenues and cash posting information into the General Ledger
Assist with the monthly General Ledger close and preparation of financial statements and State electronic filing
Be primary back up for recording of daily cash receipts process
Be primary back up for Bi-weekly staff travel reimbursement process
Monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, work with Billing manager and billing team.
Daily posting of the General Ledger transactions
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and accounting software
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
2 years of related experience required.

Competitive Salary $22.88/hr plus, depending upon experience
