Summary - Job Responsibilities – Activities:
Responsible for providing cradle-to-grave commercial contract drafting, negotiation and administration services for a wide-range of contractual agreements consistent with company policies and business practices, as well as for assuring company’s compliance with customer contract requirements and applicable laws.
Must adhere to all policies and practices of AMSC ensuring the code of conduct and highest level of ethics are always maintained.
Education - Experience:
BS/BA in Business or related field and/or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with increasingly complex responsibilities in contracts environment required.
Experience as an individual contributor responsible for drafting, negotiating and administering:
Domestic and international commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
License agreements, teaming agreements, and working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations and U.S. Export laws and regulations are also highly desirable.
Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to listen, effective interpersonal skills and strong critical thinking skills.
Must haves:
experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and administering commercial contracts.
knowledge of commercial law, including UCC and export law.
solid judgment.
ability to be quick, nimble and responsive to myriad in-house and customer requests, and have the ability to interact effectively with senior management, colleagues and customers.
strong organizational skills.
ability to work independently and under pressure and handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
