Job Summary
Busy internal medicine office is looking for a full time/Part time certified medical assistant with minimum
two years of experience.
Candidate should have excellent computer skills, be comfortable with multitasking, Candidates with little or no experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities and Duties
Primary duties will be Phlebotomy
The Medical Assistant is responsible for:
- Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures
- Assisting site managers with directing patient flow, inventory
- Provide unparalleled customer service to our patients
The primary duties and responsibilities of a Medical Assistant are:
- Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, which may include but is not limited to: administer venipuncture, EKGs, blood pressure and pulse ,procedure set ups, etc.
- logbook maintenance, checking for expired medications and supplies, proper handling of specimen etc.
- Helping maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment
- Ensuring the office is fully stocked with supplies
- Providing compassionate care to our patients
Qualifications
A candidate’s qualifications will include:
Applicant Must have a phlebotomy License
- High School or GED required
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program, with Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred
- 2 years of experience
- Flexible with full-time work schedule including weekends
- Able to conduct EKGs
- Comfortable with phlebotomy
- Strong aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently
- Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required
- Happy and positive thinking, able to project this attitude around others
- Flexible & adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment
- Team player
- Excellent communication and bedside manner
- Passion for helping others in an urgent care environment
Physical requirements
The job may require from time to time to lift light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/office supplies)
