STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; Flexibility needed to meet customers' needs.
PAY RANGE*: $24.81 – 30.33/hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for oversight to all trades shops at North Coast Marine Manufacturing Training Center (NCMMTC) by working with internal and external customers. Prepare materials for classrooms and shops through safe and efficient practices. Responsible for preventative maintenance and standard operating procedures process including repair and safe use of equipment. Support the NCMMTC team by efficiently procuring the supplies and equipment at the greatest value for the college while ensuring customer training needs are met.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Ensure equipment in all NCMMTC spaces operate and run safely.
- Work with internal staff and external customers to ensure training needs are met.
- Support the instructional process at NCMMTC by preparing materials and equipment required for training.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) and standard operating procedures (SOP) process for all shop equipment.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of equipment to keep shops and storage areas operating safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Knowledge and use of various equipment such as marvel saws, plasma cutter, feeder boxes, welding gun assemblies, and material handling.
- Implement and maintain a 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) work environment including classrooms, shops, storage rooms, and shed to maximize capacity.
- Responsible for purchasing process and represent the NCMMTC as the liaison when ordering equipment and materials.
- Monitor budget balances and purchases, and process payment of invoices for capital and contract supplies.
- Coordinate capital purchases for equipment.
- Specify, coordinate, and facilitate capital equipment deliveries and installations.
- Research and determine qualified sources for assessing supplier capabilities; solicit and analyze bids and proposals and validate bid results for accuracy for NCMMTC while following the college’s procurement process.
- Order, maintain and track inventories of materials and supplies.
- Pick up and deliver materials to appropriate locations.
- Drive forklift or other equipment in a safe and efficient manner with an emphasis on safety of personnel and equipment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Technical Degree or Trades Apprenticeship in Maintenance, Welding, or related field.
Experience: Three years of manufacturing or related experience required. One year of purchasing experience preferred.
