About the Opportunity The Marketing Manager, Events is responsible for creating, deploying, tracking, and measuring marketing strategies for events and other initiatives that support growth in leads, application, and enrollments for Northeastern University. The Marketing Manager, Events works in collaboration with the Associate Director of Digital Marketing, and other partner marketing teams, to develop a strategic plan and approach for events that drive increases in demand and improve conversion with prospective students. He/She also drives the strategy and execution for key demand generation and/or conversion projects and priorities that help meet the University’s enrollment goals. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Define the overall marketing strategy and messaging for comprehensive (virtual and/or in-person) events and key projects. Manage execution of marketing plans for events, strategic projects, and other key initiatives through effective project management skills. Develop approach for how events are promoted, communicated, and executed over time, including how event content can be leveraged more productively across the funnel. Effectively track and measure campaign success and ROI through regular monitoring and reporting of data through the entire funnel; from lead generation to enrollment. Establishes best practices for event marketing across channels that partner marketing teams (product, regional, international) leverage on niche event opportunities. Partner with other marketing and admissions staff, creative teams, and marketing technology team to work together to execute successful events. Utilize marketing and CRM technologies to attract and nurture prospective students. Collaborate and track event budgets with oversight from Director of Digital Marketing. Qualifications: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing and communications. At least 2 years of experience with managing events. Higher education experience preferred. Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of marketing strategies, specifically for in-person and online events. Flexible, creative thinker open to new ideas and changing priorities within a fast-paced organization. Strong project management skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think and act both analytically and strategically. Experience working with a marketing automation tool and customer relationship management system (CRM) a plus.
