What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vac Truck Operator position at Northern Pipe, Inc.?
The job of a vac truck operator is for someone that has a Class B CDL with tanker and are willing to be outside year-round. The vac truck operator is expected to complete a variety of different tasks, they may vary on a day-to-day basis. Vac truck operator will work closely with the project manager and their technician. They will perform various tasks; cleaning sanitary sewer/storm pipes, turning in map(s) and/or all necessary paperwork when project is completed, filling out a daily progress report and timecard, making sure all safety equipment is used, and are willing to travel within Wisconsin. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management, working skills and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate vac truck
- Perform general diagnostic and maintenance to waste systems
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure appropriate service and maintenance of the vac truck
- Fill our pre-trip inspection form daily and turn in
Requirements:
- Class B CDL with tanker needed
- Construction background preferred, but not required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read & understand maps
- Willing to travel out of town & overnight throughout the year
- Organization, multitasking, and time management
