Summary of Functions

VIP hostess is responsible for ensuring guests have a positive experience at an event. Serve as VIP host in Coors Light Landing on night of show to maintain constant communication with partners and fellow team members to ensure that guests receive highly personal service and the highest level of Kalispel Hospitality at all times

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Providing excellent customer service to all partners, including greeting them warmly and engaging in small talk to make them feel comfortable.
  • Arranging for special accommodations for partners such as hotel reservations, transportation arrangements, and event tickets in conjunction with Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships.
  • Maintaining relationships with current partners by calling them periodically to inquire about their needs and preferences.
  • Ensuring the safety of the partners by providing them with rules and regulations about the event space, monitoring their behavior at all times, and removing anyone who violates these rules.
  • Providing food and beverages to partners as needed, such as arranging for appetizers before an event begins.
  • Introducing guests to other attendees at social events.
  • Researching topics related to the client’s industry in order to create a rapport with them and facilitate conversation during events.
  • Be present at every show to upsell available VIP inventory to concert patrons.
  • Serve as a resource of information for VIP partners regarding their experience within the Coors Light Landing area.
  • Provide assistance for VIP partners regarding the timing of their arrival and concert times.
  • Build strong relationships with VIP partners and have the ability to anticipate their needs.
  • Maintain articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with current audience.
  • Maintain exemplary and professional grooming standards.
  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians - State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations, and Northern Quest Resort & Casino Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists and enforces policies and procedures to control and protect the assets of the Kalispel Tribe. 
  • Must possess a great smile, good attitude, professional demeanor, make eye contact while speaking, ability to work under stressful situations, and able to cope with many challenges.
  • Resolves miscellaneous guest complaints, contacting the appropriate department supervisor or manager when necessary.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment with area of responsibility.
  • Can be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Board Process.

Education

  • High School Diploma or (GED).

Experience

  • Two (2) years of service industry experience.
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years
  • Experience working with alcohol. Alcohol knowledge is preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit.
  • Payment Card Industry Training
  • Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification.
  • Food handler’s permit from relevant government agency.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination.
  • SERVSAFE certificate (optional)
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles.  Infrequently requires crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
