Overview:
Northgate Pharmacy has an immediate opening for a full time Certified Pharmacy Technician for our retail department at our Lee Highway Abingdon, VA location, join our team and work in a relaxed atmosphere, flexible scheduling and positive environment where team members work together as a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Data Entry of patient/facility information & prescription orders
  • Medication Packaging
  • Answering phones and processing refills
  • Typing and/or data entry skills
  • Computer, email, fax and scan knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment is a must
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Ability to take directions
  • Ability to work a cash register and Drive thru window
  • Keeping the pharmacy clean and organized
  • Must comply with pharmacy principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Other assigned duties in the pharmacy
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail pharmacy

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed for state of Virginia, follow state and federal regulations.
  • HIPPA training up to date is a plus
  • Working off a computer screen for up to 10 hours/day
  • Hours of operation from Monday – Friday, 10 hour shifts off weekends and off all major Holidays.
