Radiologic Technologist

Description

We are seeking a 16 hour per week (.4 FTE) Radiologic Technologist to join our Lakewood team!

Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Radiologic Technologist duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist the provider during the course of treatment related to radiology needs and interacts with the patient.
• Utilize beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
• Process exposed radiographs using computer generated methods.
• Perform basic general x-rays of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle under supervision of physician.
• Explain process and position patient for x-ray; adjusting restriction devices; moving and adjusting equipment to set exposure factors.
• Determine patients' x-ray needs by reading instructions from provider.
• Does not read and interpret the X-ray for diagnosis purposes, as that function is reserved for the radiologist or primary care physician.
• Transmits X-rays to be over-read by a radiologist.
• Performs maintenance functions on all radiologic equipment as needed.
• Maintains examination records and service manuals.

Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Associate's degree
• Current WI State Rad Tech license
• Current CPR certification
• ARRT Certification

Required Credentials, Certification, Licensure

• Current WI State Rad Tech license, ARRT certification & CPR Certification
