What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Scheduler position at Northland Properties?
Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, the Construction Scheduler works closely with Project Managers, the Owner, Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction planning phase. As a Construction Scheduler you will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedule templates, creating project schedules, monitor and update project schedules. Your key duties will include:
Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
Resource load schedules with manhours and milestones once budgets are finalized
Create and maintain templates for all regions.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or obstacles.
Work with PM’s on monthly updates
Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project timelines and milestones.
Analyze project schedules to identify opportunities for efficiency.
Collaborate with the project team to develop contingency plans and mitigate potential risks.
Identify risks and propose risk mitigation plans.
Provide regular reports and updates on project schedules to management and other stakeholders.
Provide Schedule training and support to all PM and site coordinators
Report to management any schedule impacts as they develop
Stay current on industry best practices and trends in construction scheduling.
Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a construction scheduler or project coordinator in a large construction company
Proficiency in industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
Familiarity with construction regulations and safety standards.
