Position Highlights: - Position: Research Assistant for Large Perinatal Depression and Anxiety Study - Location: Mostly remote. Must reside in IL, WI or IN. - Full Time/Part Time: Full Time - Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Some flexibility in hours required. - Required Trave l: Required access to reliable transportation and ability and willingness to travel between NorthShore sites, research sites and obstetric practices sites as needed at least monthly. What you will need: - Education: Bachelor's degree in social science or related field. - Certification: Research certification preferred after 2 years in position. - Experience: Research experience preferred. Some data management experience preferred. - Skills: Strong people skills required. Bilingual Spanish-English speaking preferred. Basic computer skills required, experience with Excel preferred. Excellent organization, time management, problem solving and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Ability to interact in a professional and sensitive manner with medical personnel, research subjects, and other research staff. Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision, and show initiative. What you will do: - Recruit and enroll patients into a large research study investigating treatment of perinatal depression and anxiety within the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. - Administer questionnaires to subjects - Support therapists in scheduling of psychotherapy visits - Maintain a collaborative relationship with Investigators, inter-departmental staff and research staff at other sites. - Accurately communicate research procedures to subject and significant others - Maintain regular communication with study participants - Monitor and evaluate clinical parameters and document appropriately for safety and protocol completion. - Communicate all study/protocol deviations and adverse events to the PI or MD in a timely and efficient manner to ensure subject care and safety - Monitor subject accrual and quality assurance - Additional duties as assigned - Safe-keep files, enter data gathered during study, and ensure data integrity. - Assist with analysis of collected data, and contribute to manuscripts and posters NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) is an integrated healthcare delivery system consistently ranked a Top 15 Major Teaching Hospital in the U.S. Headquartered in Evanston, Illinois, NorthShore comprises five hospitals ( Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Skokie and Swedish), 140 Medical Group and Specialty Care offices, and more than 3,000 physicians, serving over 635,000 patients.
