About this Role

NorthStar Energy Services offers engineering, procurement, project management, construction management, and consulting solutions to clients in the energy, petrochemical, and process industries. Our clients include oil & gas processing and transportation, refining, chemical, renewable, and gas companies. Our team of skilled professionals, from mid-level engineers to senior technical experts, have experience in applicable process technologies, program management, conceptual and detailed design engineering, and construction management.

We are seeking an Entry-Level Information Technology Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with hardware setup/configuration, troubleshooting, and replacement. They will also be responsible for deploying build images and software to laptops and desktops using SCCM. This role involves providing end-user support, including moves, transfers, new hires, and interacting with VIP users.

What You'll Do

The candidate will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, accessories, and mobile devices, including Windows systems. Additionally, they will handle standalone and network printer support, inventory management, asset commissioning and decommissioning, and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requests. Experience with VPN connectivity, antivirus management, Citrix installation troubleshooting, application/database installation, backup tape management, mobile device management (MDM), and telephony services is beneficial.

What You'll Bring

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hardware setup/configuration, troubleshooting, and replacement.
• Deploying build images and software using SCCM.
• End-user support, including moves, transfers, new hires, and VIP users.
• Printer support and installation, basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Inventory management and asset commissioning/decommissioning.
• Troubleshooting and performing break-fix issues for desktops, laptops, accessories, and mobile devices.
• VPN connectivity/installations and IMAC software/hardware requests.
• Assets management and telephony services support.
• Antivirus management and Citrix installation troubleshooting.
• Veeam backup knowledge or similar
• Mobile device management (MDM) for IOS and android devices.
• Utilization of tools such as Teams, SCCM, RDP, Active Directory, and Webex.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proven experience in computer networking. And networking components
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with firewall configuration and security protocols.
• Experience in supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android).
• Proficiency in using IT support tools such as Jira or similar ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong customer service orientation with a focus on problem-solving.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Security and others. Are a plus but not required.
• Help desk: 1 year (Preferred)
• Windows: 1 year
• Experience with VPN connectivity, antivirus management, Citrix installation troubleshooting, application/database installation, backup tape management, mobile device management (MDM), and telephony services is beneficial.
