POSITION PROFILE
This position is a system administrator in our Tools and Automation team. This position is responsible for the care and feeding of software tools used to provide core services to our IT infrastructure and IT Services customers. The primary software tools in use are Kaseya VSA and Logic Monitor. These tools provide monitoring, patch management, automation, auditing, reporting, discovery and inventory, and remote control. These tools manage over 40,000 endpoints and are considered mission-critical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform systems administration on the team for tools and automation tools, specifically Logic Monitor and Kaseya toolsets. Other tools as introduced would also be included.
- Scriptwriting in PowerShell to administrate and automate tasks for Windows Server administration.
- Script writing automation application deployment.
- Scriptwriting to facilitate the discovery of data on computer endpoints and strategies to retrieve and report the data.
- Stability, availability, and functionality are critical to the success of IT Services. Understanding key performance characteristics of winter and networking devices.
- Solid understanding of network in order to set up network device monitoring and basic understanding of all the various interconnected devices both in the cloud and on-premise.
- Familiar with cloud computing technologies such as Azure, Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services.
- Management of key systems related to Wintel infrastructure, toolset management, security updates, and patch management. Will occur during off hours.
- Coordinating with internal, vendors, and customers to resolve customer and internal challenges.
- Managing the key “functions” of the automation tools including but not limited to remote control, automation, patch management, reporting, and device monitoring.
- Any other duties as assigned.
