Automotive Shop Foreman/Manager

Northwest Auto Parts is hiring for its full-time Shop Manager Position. This position requires an individual with both automotive mechanical and managerial experience. There's minimal diagnostic work and no come backs due to the nature of the industry.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Managerial meetings
• Managing maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including forklifts, heavy equipment, delivery trucks, electric lifts, and fluid recovery equipment
• Training and management of 5-6 employees in mechanic/dismantling positions: yard pullers, dismantlers, and shop assistant
• Minor repair of engines, transfer cases, axles, and carriers
• Coordination of repairs with outside shop
• Providing assistance to dismantling team in the running of wrecked vehicles and testing of components
• Assisting warranty manager in the evaluation of claims
• Forklift operation training for new hires
• In-house welding and fabrication (preferred but not required, welders and supplies provided)

Requirements:

• Must have a solid set of tools necessary to complete all primary responsibilities
• Valid driver's license
• Background check and drug screening (marijuana not tested)
• Can lift 50lbs if needed
• ASE certification is preferred but not required

Schedule is Monday to Friday. Expected starting salary $75-$95k DOE, with opportunity for advancement
